  • Name:  Pam Fitch
  • Birthplace: Bossier City, LA
  • High School: Airline High School, Bossier City, LA
  • College/University: Stephen F. Austin State University
  • Occupation: Business Owner, Jack Backers College Bookstore, Spirit Custom Apparel (Nacogdoches, Texas)
  • Family: Alan Fitch, husband of 24 years; one daughter, Reagan.
  • Focus as a board member: As a parent, I have been actively involved in our local schools since my daughter attended Raguet Elementary. From cookie dough fundraisers to chaperoning choir trips and working booster club events, I have always enjoyed being a part of my daughter’s school activities. Doing so also provided me the opportunity to see first-hand the challenges our dedicated teachers face in the classroom on a daily basis.

This year, my daughter Reagan will graduate from Nacogdoches High School – some 31 years after my husband Alan received his diploma from NHS. It’s a wonderful feeling to have your daughter attend the same school her dad and grandfather graduated from, and I hope it’s a family tradition that will continue for many more generations.

That’s what motivated me to serve on the Nacogdoches ISD School Board. My desire is to ensure that our children and our grandchildren receive a first-class education. A strong public school system is arguably the most important job of local government. It is my intent to move us forward, putting students first in every decision that is made while being accountable to the residents who are trusting us with their tax dollars and their children. Let’s work together to ensure that every child in Nacogdoches – regardless of where they live, how they’re raised or the income level of their family – receives a first-class education.
