Teams Spell it out in TJR Contest

Big words and elaborate costumes were, well… “ubiquitous” Thursday during Thomas J. Rusk Elementary School’s Spelling Bee. And, by the way, “ubiquitous” was the winning word for “Only 3 members, not FORE!,” the golf-themed team sponsored by Etech.

Justin Benson came up with the winner to clinch the “The Bees’ Knees – Best Spelling Swarm” trophy.

The ETech team wasn’t the only winners on Thursday. “Spellebrities,” sponsored by Dolli’s Diner, took home the “Oh Honey, Honey – Best Dress Swarm” trophy. “The Word Wreckers, sponsored by Commercial Bank of Texas earned the “Biggest Buzz – Most Spirited” trophy.
