There’s a new patch for Nacogdoches ISD Police Officers.

The department is marking its 25th anniversary with a change to the shoulder patch worn by all officers, Chief Sandra Murray said.

McMichael Middle School art teacher Mark Wallace brought vision to what the police department was looking for, Murray said. “He was able to take our murky idea of what it should look like and create a solid design.”

The patch signifies many things to the department, Murray said.

“The new patch symbolizes our love and respect of these United States, the great State of Texas, the city of Nacogdoches as well as our fierce Dragon Pride,” she said. “May we wear it proudly.”
