Purpose 

The purpose of our department is to ensure that the district is meeting the intent of all funding sources and is in full compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. It is our goal to successfully seek, obtain, and administer federal funding and competitive grants for the benefit of Nacogdoches ISD staff and students. 

Federal Programs That Support Education 

Nacogdoches ISD students and staff benefit greatly from federal funding every year. Programs that aid in the support of staff and student teaching and learning are:

ESSER III 

PUBLIC NOTICE of the intent to apply for ESSER III funds. 

Nacogdoches ISD has applied for ESSER III funding and has received a notice of grant award for the total entitlement amount of $ 24,709,069. These funds will be used to support the intent and purpose of the Ameri-can Rescue Plan (ARP) of 2021, Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER III) funding which is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. The district comprehensive needs assessment, student academic performance data, and feedback from the ESSER III Stakeholder Funding Allocation Survey will be used to determine the use of these grants funds.
