Important Announcements

NHS SNAKE: Please be advised that today, January 12, a student at Nacogdoches High School was found to be in possession of a snake believed to be venomous. NHS staff and students reported this information to administrators. District law enforcement worked with the Nacogdoches Fire Department to take possession of the snake. Administrators were able to ensure the safety and security of the students and faculty. The incident is under investigation. The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. 

TEACHER WORK DAY & MLK DAY: Friday, January 13, is a student holiday and classes will not be held. Schools will also be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of Marting Luther King, Jr. Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 17. DRAGON CHAT WITH DOWDY: Emeline Carpenter Elementary School Wednesday, January 18, 2017 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Established in 1903, Nacogdoches ISD offers Prekindergarten through 12th grade education to nearly 6,500 students on 10 campuses.

We emphasize the importance of every child reaching his or her fullest potential. Our mission at Nacogdoches ISD is to educate and inspire everyone to achieve excellence.

Nacogdoches ISD Board Meeting Details

When: Generally the third Thursday of each month 
Where: NISD Board Room in the E.J. Campbell District Support Center, 420 S. Shawnee Street, Nacogdoches, Texas. 
Time: 6 p.m.
