Nacogdoches ISD’s Student Advisory Board met Tuesday, Oct. 17, with Deputy Superintendent Michael Martin.
The nine students who make up the board are drawn from Nacogdoches High School, Margie Chumbley Academy for Success and McMichael Middle School.
On Tuesday, students met for lunch, toured NISD’s District Support Center and visited with Martin about leadership opportunities.
The student board will meet monthly for the remainder of the school year.
Students on the advisory board include: from NHS, Nayeli Carrillo, Joel Denby, Ella Furniss, Natalia Ochoa, Yoshiro Parks and Dereck Polo; from Margie Chumbley Academy for Success, Mace Carr; and from McMichael Middle School, June Anderson and Anderson Montes.
