They worked collaboratively to build towers, learning valuable lessons about trial and error. It was great to see them problem-solve and adapt their designs to find what worked best! This week in Mrs. Dowdy’s class, students practiced the scientific method using a penny and a dropper of water. They were able to practice making a hypothesis and interpreting data to put it in a graph. #McMichael #BeLegendary #sciencerocks

McMichael Lady Dragons Athletics are ready to hit the ground running this 2025-2026 school year. Here you can find tryout information for the upcoming Softball and Volleyball seasons. Also, we've added the Softball and Cross Country schedules to the McMichael Athletics folder in the DOCUMENTS section on this site. Seventh grade schedule pick is tomorrow from 1PM-3PM in the cafeteria. Students will be given their schedules and ID cards (if they are returning students). Please remember that we will also have our shot clinic running at the same time for students who still need vaccinations. All 7th grade students must provide a copy of immunizations or exemption forms before they will be issued a schedule. Students who do not pick up schedules can get them on Tuesday from the front office or on the first day of school. Schedule change forms will be available tomorrow, but please remember schedule changes are done based on class availability.

Sixth Grade Orientation is tomorrow from 9 AM to 12PM. Remember that this is a student only event. Please see the flyer for drop off and pick up locations. We can't wait to welcome our new dragons to campus!!

McMichael Middle School is inviting incoming sixth-grade parents to a 6th Grade Parent Orientation. There are two separate dates for the orientation. Parents of students from Raguet, TJR, Charter, and those new to the district should attend on August 4th at 5:30. Parents of students from BQJ, Carpenter, and Mike Moses should attend on August 5th at 5:30. The meeting will cover information about the student orientation, campus procedures and expectations, and will include a question and answer session. This is a meeting for parents, and the student orientation will be held on August 9th. Reach out to hstidham@nacisd.org with any questions or concerns. These meetings are not mandatory, just meant to be helpful.
