A’Quira Gregory won a gold medal and seven other Nacogdoches High School choir members brought home awards at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Pflugerville.
A’Quira performed “O del mio dolce ardor” to earn gold. Five others from NHS earned silver medals: Angel Rodriguez with “Danza, danza, fanciulla gentile”; Grayson Thornton “Sure On This Shining Night”; Akasha Garcia “Le Violette”; Jenny Santiago-Marquez “Se tu m^ami, se sospiri”; and Peyton Lewis “Per la gloria d^adorarvi.” Aryial Teal (“Silent Noon”) and Domynik Willis (“Vittoria, mio core!”) won bronze medals.
Choir Director David Brewer is completing his first year at Nacogdoches High School.
