Choirs from McMichael Middle School and Nacogdoches High School held their combined Christmas concert Tuesday at the NHS auditorium.
“What Sweeter Music” included performances by the sixth grade choir (“Noel Nouvelet” and “Christmas Time is Here”), combined seventh and eighth grade tenor/bass choir (“We Three Kings” and “Jack Frost”) and the combined seventh and eighth grade treble choir from McMichael (“Once Upon a December [Anastasia]” and “’Twas the Night Before Christmas”).
From the high school, the treble choir (“In the Bleak Mid-Winter” and “Great Day”) and NHS concert choir performed (“Carol of the Bells,” “Lux Beata Trinitas,” “Baba Yetu” and “Peace, Peace”).
Sixth grade choir from McMichael: Jashun Allen, Za’Kaylah Bryant, Jus’Taisha Burleigh, Hayley Comstock, Jennifer Flores-Gomez, Ariannah Gordon, Desiraye Jackson, Emmerson Keith, Brylee Moore, Alyssa Porter, Brandon Sandoval and Kimberly Trigueros.
Combined seventh and eighth grade tenor/bass choir: Cayden Carr, Ramses Flores-Hernandez, Ja’Marion Hodge, Luis Laines, Karper Pitcock, Theodore Williams and Zackary Windham.
Seventh grade treble choir: Ray’shonna Copeland, Zelda Esqueda, Cataleyah Hernandez, Kontressa Holcomb, Ja’niyah James, Nickia Jenkins, Katherine McCarthy, Lexii Mings, Kennedi Siers, Sunshine Spears, Piper Taylor and Ty’tiana Weathered.
The eighth grade varsity choir: Areli Aldana, Olivia Baxter, Brooklynn Clanton, Georgia Deppisch, Cheyanne Gray, Lillian Gunnels, Sara Haskins, Gracie Koulurus, Daniella Leiter, Arulai Middlebrook, Alexandra Norman, Madeline Norman, Aubrey Ochoa, Jennyfer Patino Ponce, Evelyn Pierce, Aryah Pruitt, Peyton Rather, Jakeline Rocha, Naya Sifuentes, Roselyn Smith, ZaCoreyia Sterns and Melaine Walburn.
