Faculty and staff at Carpenter Elementary want to give a big thank you to Insomnia Cookies for the assortment of cookies. They were a much appreciated pick me up this Friday afternoon!


4th and 5th grade students in Mr. Fogarty's class read the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel. As they read they highlighted unfamiliar and difficult words in each article to work on vocabulary. The Sports page was their favorite section by far!


3rd and 4th grade artists began work on their bases for sculptures. Sculptures to follow next week, stay tuned!



Kindergarten used their five senses today during a lesson on observing physical properties of matter.

In art class kindergarten and 1st grade did a find and seek with colors and shapes.








Last week 4th grade students worked in partners to complete a Venn diagram in Mrs Meredith’s ELA class. They compared and contrasted themselves to each other. This will help students see their similarities and differences and help them celebrate both, creating a safe environment for all to learn.

Nacogdoches High School's One-Act Play swept the acting awards today at the district meet in Whitehouse and will move on to bi-district later this month with their production of "Picnic on the Battlefield." Mae Johnston, Mars McIntosh and Brianna Hightower were All-Star Cast and Nelly Gotcher received honorable mention Tech Award. A great day for NHS theatre... Way to go Dragons!!!
