Texas Department of Transportation, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Nacogdoches Police and Emeline Carpenter Elementary distributed 29 car seats Wednesday, Nov. 16.
The car seat giveaway at Emeline Carpenter was part of a program to provide seats for children and to help with proper installation.
A day earlier, TxDOT and Texas AgriLife officials made presentations to Carpenter students about car seat safety.
