Response to Intervention (RtI)
Boosting Instruction through Response to Intervention
Nacogdoches ISD is committed to ensuring that each student makes significant academic progress. To do this, we continuously review data and information that indicates how each student is progressing. Teams use screening and progress monitoring data to make decisions about instruction, movement within the multi-level prevention system, and disability identification (in accordance with state law). This process is called Response to Intervention.
Response to Intervention (RtI) is a 3 - Tier Model for Intervention that provides all students with the instruction they require for learning success. The goal of RtI is to intervene early when students begin to struggle with learning or behavior. The RtI process prevents students from falling behind and developing learning or behavioral difficulties. RtI occurs at all grade levels with an emphasis on core content and behavior.
