Retirement plaques from banquet and ceremony

Nine Nacogdoches ISD staff members were honored during Tuesday’s annual retirement dinner at the Malcolm Rector Center for Advanced Careers & Innovation.

Culinary arts students from Nacogdoches High School prepared the meal and catered the banquet. Students from National Honor Society helped serve the tables. Plaques presented to retirees were engraved by students in the CTE program at NHS.

Retirees that were recognized at the banquet:

Carlene Higgins, Nacogdoches High School; Cindy Ivy, District Support Center; Karen Jernigan, Raguet Elementary; Isabel Johnson, Student Nutrition, Nacogdoches High School; Penny Puller, Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary; Barbara Roux, Nacogdoches High School; Peggy Thorn, Student Nutrition, Mike Moses Elementary; Phyllis Upshaw, Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary; and Carrie Williams, McMichael Middle School.

Retirees unable to attend Tuesday’s dinner and reception included Stephen Ewton, Nacogdoches High School; Destiny Green, Raguet Elementary; Robert Vaughn, Plant Services and NISD Warehouse; and Jenness Allen, Mike Moses Elementary.
