The 2023 Convocation presented by ServePro of Lufkin/S. Nacogdoches County, State Farm Insurance – Nikki Evans-Wallace, Spirit Outfitters and the law firm Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott LLP will kick off the new school year for Nacogdoches ISD teachers and staff at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11.
Golden Dragon sponsors for Convocation are Cadence Bank/Cadence Insurance and Excel ER. Bronze Dragon sponsor is Southside Bank and XETX Business Solutions.
During the convocation program, campuses and facilities will be able to sit together in the Nacogdoches High School gym. Signs will be posted where each campus or department will be located.
Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo will present the keynote message.
“This is really the one time during the school year where we’re able to bring together everyone under one roof,” Trujillo said. “It’s a chance to celebrate and enjoy the start of another school year.”
Drawings for door prizes will take place throughout the morning, including three special Dragon items that will be awarded at the end of convocation.
