Three Nacogdoches ISD students had their work on display this week at the 2023 TASA/TASB Convention in Dallas.
Toni Sauceda, Alicia Rene Dowell and Makinley Pickens were selected to submit works to the Texas Art Education Association for display at the convention, NISD Fine Arts Director Deshmond Johnson said. Toni is a senior and Alicia is a sophomore at Nacogdoches High School; Makinley is a fifth-grader at Raguet Elementary.
Toni’s work is titled “Empty Shopping;” Alicia’s is “Queen;” and Makinley’s is “Tree in Winter.”
School administrators and trustees from around Texas attend the convention, which combines members of the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards.
