Nacogdoches High School’s Micah Lockett and Christine Schick qualified for the Class 5A State Track and Field Meet.
Lockett, a sophomore, cleared 6-feet, 9-inches in the high jump, finishing second in the event held Friday at the University of Texas-Arlington.
In the girls pole vault, also on Friday, the junior Schick topped 11-8 to finish second in the event.
Avery Hardcastle was set to run in the boys 800-meter finals this morning in Arlington. The regional meet was set to finish up today after events were postponed Saturday because of rain.
Field events for the Class 5A state meet will take place Friday, May 3, at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium at the University of Texas in Austin.
