Teachers are back at school getting ready for the start of the 2025-26 academic year, and Nacogdoches ISD will hold Convocation to celebrate the start of school. All NISD teachers and staff will gather at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 8, in the competition gymnasium at Nacogdoches High School.
The 2025 Convocation ceremony is presented by Spirit Outfitters, A&P Inflatables, Dillas, East Texas Professional Credit Union, State Farm Insurance – Nikki Evans Wallace, NIBCO and the law firm Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins and Mott LLP.
There will be breakfast – sponsored by Dillas – provided for all staff beforehand at 8 a.m. in the NHS commons area in the main building.
Like previous years, there will be a bit of fun at Convocation, some cool door prizes will be given away and everyone will receive a gift bag and T-shirt for the new year.
The Golden Dragon-level sponsor is Cadence Bank, and the Bronze Dragon sponsors are XETX Inc. and Southside Bank.
