Two Nacogdoches ISD staff members received Charles Pickitt Educator of the Year awards this week.
Roya Dinbali, who teaches Forensic Science at Nacogdoches High School, was named the Educator of the Year. James Adams, principal at Margie Chumbley Academy for Success, was named the Administrator of the Year.
The awards are presented by the Association of Texas Professional Educators.
Dinbali and Adams, along with the other statewide winners, will be recognized at the 2026 ATPE Summit July 14-16 in San Antonio.
