Micah Lockett will be back in Eugene, Ore., this weekend for a second time to participate in the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships and the Nike Outdoor Nationals.
A year ago, at these same competitions, Micah cleared 7-feet, 2-inches in the high jump, one of the best high school efforts of 2025.
Micah finished his career at Nacogdoches High School last month with a second consecutive Class 5A title in the high jump. Micah is a member of the NHS Class of 2026 and has already signed a letter of intent to be a member of the track and field team at Stephen F. Austin State University and to play football for the Lumberjacks.
Micah’s 7-2 ranks as the top high jump mark for high school in Texas in 2026, and is one of the best in the country.
He will jump in the USATF U20 meet on Friday afternoon and the Nike Outdoor Nationals on Saturday.
The 2026 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships will serve as the selection event for the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships team.
