Several events are planned this month at Nacogdoches ISD campuses related to the Christmas season. Here’s what’s going on in December:
Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary • Dec. 16 – Christmas sing-along, 2:15 p.m. in the campus gym.
Emeline Carpenter Elementary • Dec. 7 – Literacy Night and kindergarten through second-grade choir program in the cafeteria.
Raguet Elementary • Dec. 7-9 PTA Santa's Workshop: Students will be able to shop for small gifts for family members. • Dec. 9 Fourth- and fifth-grade Christmas Pageant and Write-a-Letter-to-Santa Night. • Dec. 15 Raguet Choir will perform at noon for the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches at the Fredonia Hotel.
Thomas J. Rusk Elementary • Dec. 7 – Parent Involvement Christmas Bingo, 5:30-6:30. • Dec. 8 – Christmas Book Palooza… each child receives a $15 voucher for the book fair. The students will select books on Dec. 8, then the campus administration team will make deliveries of the books on Dec. 17.
Mike Moses Middle School • Dec. 4 – Dance Team performs in the Lighted Christmas Parade, downtown Nacogdoches. • Dec. 8-9 – The dance team performs in the NHS Christmas Show. • Dec. 13 – Band performs at the NHS Christmas concert in the Competition Gym. • Dec. 14-15 – Band performs at Raguet Elementary, Thomas J. Rusk Elementary, Nettie Marshall Academy of Dual Language, and the SFA charter school. • Dec. 17 – Christmas pep rally at 3:30 p.m.
Nacogdoches High School • Dec. 2-3 – NHS Theatre presents “Dearly Departed” in the NHS auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the curtain goes up at 7 p.m. both nights. • Dec. 8-9 – Christmas Spectacular featuring the NHS drill team, cheer squad, and twirlers, NHS auditorium at 5:30 p.m. • Dec. 13 – NISD Band Christmas Concert (all grades) at NHS auditorium, 7 p.m. • Dec. 14 – NISD Choir Concert (all grades) at NHS auditorium, 7 p.m.
