Five Nacogdoches High School swimmers – Alister Jackson, Kaden Packard, Tread Woodard, Daniel Chandler, and William Hinson – qualified for the Class 5A State Swimming & Diving Meet set for Feb. 18-19 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center at the University of Texas in Austin.
The NHS men’s 200 and 400 freestyle relays and the men’s 200 medley relay teams won regional titles at the Region IV Swimming & Diving meet held in Lewisville. Jackson finished second in the 100 freestyle individual race.
The 200 Medley Relay included Jackson, Packard, Woodard, and Chandler. The 200 and 400 freestyle relays included Jackson, Chandler, Hinson, and Woodard.
Nacogdoches finished third in the boy's team standings with 246 points behind first-place Texas High and second-place Highland Park. The Lady Dragons finished in second place in team standings with 182 points behind first-place Highland Park.
